She cries, oh how she cries
Her heart is tainted with lies
And she is broken,
Her soul is tired and fragmented and wooden
She breaks at the feet of her God,
Begging to be relieved of her pain
People call her odd,
But truly, she has had to heal again and again
Her hands are crooked and riddled with scars
After so many wars,
I put her to rest
And like the Sun, she’ll forever sleep in the West

O sinning saint, tell me my name
Carve it upon my cheek,
Tell my mother her daughter’s finally come home
O unholy angel, show me my face
Burn it upon my arm,
Tell my father his daughter loves him once more
O cruel Lord above, find me a soul
Bury it deep in my chest,
And tell my friends that I’m sorry
I’m much too broken to face them again

My father yells again,
My mother doesn’t care,
They’re growing more distant everyday
I hurt myself and they get mad,
I start crying and my mother sings to me,
I let myself be lulled to sleep
I wake up once more,
I am alone,
Just another dream
